Gord French
Owner & Appraiser AACI, P.App
Born and raised in Rossland, B.C., Gord is proud to offer professional real estate appraisal and consulting services for the Kootenay Boundary region....
After completing his Bachelor of Commerce degree at the University of Calgary in 2004, Gord started his appraisal career with Rivard Appraisals in Vernon, BC. At Rivard, Gord gained experience in the appraisal of residential properties ranging from vacant lands to executive waterfront properties. In 2008, he achieved the professional designation of AACI, P.App, (Accredited Appraiser of the Canadian Institute, Professional Appraiser) granted by the Appraisal Institute of Canada.
Shortly after achieving his professional appraiser designation Gord relocated to Vancouver to work for Altus Group, Canada’s leading provider of valuation services. During his time at Altus Group, Gord performed valuation assignments on retail, office, industrial, and multi-family type properties. Clients included major firms such as Grosvenor Group, Aquilini Investment Group, Bentall Kennedy, and Ernst & Young.
In 2015 Gord joined B.C Hydro as a Property Representative. At BC Hydro, Gord successfully acquired property rights, such as rights of way, land purchases, and Crown land tenures for BC Hydro’s transmission projects.
In 2019 Gord partnered with a software developer to create QuickComp (www.quickcomp.io) - a cloud-based database for Canadian Appraisers. QuickComp now has over 70 users across Canada. QuickComp optimizes how we analyze, display, and present comparable data.

Marcus Randt
Candidate Appraiser
Marcus graduated at the top of his class at Thompson Rivers University (TRU) and has gone on to excel in every aspect of his appraisal career. He enjoys walking his dog to the local brewery. His favourite thing about real estate appraisal is learning how the market behaves in different areas and what factors drive value for buyer’s in different marketplaces.
Sarita Hartson
Candidate Appraiser
Sarita is a Candidate Appraiser who recently completed a post-graduate program through Selkirk College. She is now working on completing her Post Graduate Certificate in Real Property Valuation (PGCV) with Sauder School of Business. Sarita's background in accounting is evident with advanced data analytical skills. Her passion for research and attention to detail is a tremendous asset to the team at Summit. When she's not studying, you can usually find her in the mountains somewhere, hiking, snowboarding, or taking her dogs on adventures.
Taylor French
Office Manager
Taylor is our Office Manager and ensures efficient scheduling and on-time delivery of our appraisal assignments. She also performs bookkeeping and works casually as a Registered Nurse.
Walter
Office Dog
Walter is our office therapy and guard dog. He also specializes in Dog House Appraisals, chew toys, and playing fetch. When Walter isn't at the office you can find him running in parks, swimming at Christina Lake or hiking in Rossland.
All appraisers at Summit Appraisal & Consulting Ltd are accredited members in good standing with the AIC (Appraisal Institute of Canada) – the largest governing and insuring body in Canada for appraisers. Each report is authored by a designated member and conforms to CUSPAP (Canadian Uniform Standards of Professional Appraisal Practice).
